Understanding WHOIS information

What is WHOIS information?

Being in contact with people who own businesses or domain names, means searching for their “WHOIS information”. Checking WHOIS information means actually checking the registration information regarding the domain name, for a specific website.

Millions of individuals, businesses, organizations and governments register domain names every year. Providing contact information is required when registering a domain name, including but not limited to: name, address, email, phone number, administrative and technical contacts. Such information is generally referred to as “WHOIS information”.

How do I look up WHOIS data?

Go to our website > Domains > Whois Search > enter the domain name you want to query in the search box, click the button “Who Owns It?” and you will get the corresponding WHOIS information for that specific domain.
